Hey all,

I am a new BMW owner and I am having a problem I cant seem to figure out... Any input would help. Here are the details:

- I get error code saying that the SOS call system has a malfunction. I scanned the TCU module and got error code A373. I have tried removing the module (disconnecting power) and resetting the fault message but it keeps coming back, sometimes right away, sometimes after a day.

I found this posting:

which lists SIB 84 10 06 which seems to be the identical problem. However I cannot find any more information on this SIB or what to do to fix this.

My main questions are:
1) Do I have to buy a new TCU?
1A) If so can I just plug it in an go or does it have to be recoded by BMW Service/rape department.
2) Where can I find the SIB 84 10 06?
3) Does any one know for sure if there is a recall for any TCU's?

Any help would be awesome! Please please please!!!!
