Best Zanio Products...
for Sparkling Graphite?
I am finally going to give Zanio a try this Spring. Getting ready to place an order and I need the advice from the Zanio believers. |

SCA, not to talk you out of the Zaino(you could probably do it with Zaino too), but take a look at ADHD's ride. Also graphite. Looks unbelievable. He used Klasse AIO followed by layers of SG then topped with souveran.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42120 The pic with the door open is my favorite. With 3 coats of SG, my car is like a mirror, but doesn't have the depth. I've noticed a similar problem with Zaino.(Unless that is what you like) ADHD's car draws you in. The depth in awesome. |

I have used Klasse for quite a few years on various autos & boats, but I am not pleased with the results on SG.

Usually when someone is not pleased with the result of their LSP it has more to do with improper preparation of the paint rather than the actual LSP. Switching is probably not going to accomplish a lot. I know people tend to spend more of their time talking about sealants and waxing, but those contribute to a small fraction of the overall appearance of your paint. Putting Zaino or Klasse or Pinnacle or Zymol Royale on a car with paint that has not been properly prepared will not achieve the results you probably desire.
Honestly, on a car with good prep almost no one, including me, will be able to tell you the difference between one car with Zaino on it and another with Klasse SG. My suggestion; keep the LSO you've got and spend some money on clay, a porter cable, and polishes... and start reading: http://autopia-carcare.com/inf-clay.html http://autopia-carcare.com/inf-polishing.html http://autopia-carcare.com/inf-paint-polish-clinic.html http://autopia-carcare.com/inf-porte...-polisher.html |

I do not believe that surface prep played a part. My car is garage kept 24/7 and after a year and 2 months it only has 28XX miles (2nd auto). The car has never seen any inclement weather. I have a PC, various pads, and many polishes, waxes, clays, sealants, car wash soaps, microfiber towels, etc, and etc. I am a meticulous BMW owner that once used to detail autos and boats. ![]() Last edited by SCA; 03-01-2007 at 01:00 AM.. |

OK; so what specfically are you looking for from a sealant/wax that you aren;t currently getting? I only ask because I don't see a ton of difference between a car with Klasse SG on it and a car with Zaino Z2pro if properly prepared.

Depth, gloss (wet look), good protection. BTW, just realized I am nearly out of AIO. Still have plenty of SG. |

I'm not trying to dissuade you from using Zaino at all, I love Zaino; I just wanted to get a feel for what you were going for. I'd do one of two things, either grab some Z5pro and try that (it's what I use on my car); I find it looks better on darker colors like SpkGr because it has more depth, a less plastic-y look. Alternatively you might try a beauty wax and just top the SG with that since you have a lot of SG left. Something like P21S (or S100, same thing), Pinnacle Souveran, Clearkote Carnauba, Poorboys Nattys Blue - they might give you the depth you're after and you'll still have the protection of SG on the car. I'd try Nattys personally, it's very wet and it's cheap, so if you hate it you're only out $20.

For Sparkling Graphite, go Z5P, ZCS, and Z8 (in that order).
For more info on Zaino and to speak to the internets most knowledgeable group of Zaino users, come on over to detailersclub.com. Sal is also a member over there and posts occasionally. |

picus, while you're on the topic of waxes as toppers for added depth, 2 questions:
1. Would lighter colors see much difference if topped with wax? 2. Any comments on Souveran Spray Wax compared to the other ones you listed (just as effective, less effective)? http://www.autogeek.net/pinnacle-sou...spray-wax.html Just curious ![]()

JC, Would you recomend waxing Tiag than? I have purchased all my Zaino even though I am waiting for my car, I would just like to know if waxing this color will show any signs of depth to it or make it look wet? Thanks in advance SG ![]()

Speedgod - I have tried comparison tests on my and my wife's cars in the past. If you have a wax you're curious about you might want to consider laying some down on say half the hood and leave the other side with whatever other LSP you currently like. That way you can see for yourself in your own light and daily use conditions if there is a difference in appearance worth either continuing your current method or waxing the entire car with something you think enhances the appearance.
Again, this is simply a suggestion based on what I have done in the past and have found that it narrows down some choices for me - especially when a new product is released and I'm curious about confirming (or denying) the "hype".
