Experience with 335 Tuning
Hello,
I just got my car a couple months ago. It does have the N55 engine, but I was wondering regardless of N54, or N55 what experince people have so far. Has the car been running solid, for how long? Also if your car is still under factory warranty, do you remove the tune before taking it in for service? Does the dealership say anything? I pretty much would just like some experieces related since I am a little uneasy about doing a tune, and am new to this. I have read a lot about them. The Vishnu and JB currently have one, and COBB working on it. What are the advantages/disadvantages? I hear that simply unplugging the Vishnu leaves no trace, where as the COBB is a flash and is detectable. Any imput would be greatly appreciated! I would say stay away from COBB due to personal experience. They are great with subbies but worthless for everything else. I lost my Evo X for a month due to them frying my ecu 3 times. Im not bashing them, just not recommending them. Especially not for a bmw. I have a JB3 and have had zero issues at the dealer. I leave mine on, but many people remove them before routine maintenance. Hopefully this helps.

It's all up to personal preference and I really wouldn't listen to half the people on the forum just out of personal biases. I prefer the Procede, Clap135 likes the COBB APR (I think that's what it's called), and on, and on, and on. There are several pros and cons to everything.
Personally, if you want a flash I'd wait for COBB to make one for the n55. And if you want a removable safe piggyback I'd go for the Procede V5. I have personal experience with the V5 and couldn't recommend it more |

I don't usually like to post this, but we really don't need yet another tuner war thread.
![]() BTW, the N55 only has two options at the moment: Procede or JB3.

I apprecite the feedback. I know people have their prefrences, but I was more interested in what experiece you've had such as with dealerships, any problems with the Tune and so forth. Not trying to start a Tuner war whatsoever. Just some feedback is all
