Interesting... Subscribed... Specially if this is avail for the X5... Seems like the programming for the X5 and 535 N55's are baffling the other tuners (unlike the 135/335 N55's)...

Very nice. Unfortunately, when they announced the N54 Power Kit it actually arrived at the dealers in about 7 months.
I wouldn't buy an N55 without this kit, if it was available. |

Hope they figured out a more friendly labor costs structure than when they introduced the N54 Power Kit!
6 to 8 hrs quotes from my local dealer made me look else where. |

I'm very interested and optimistic about this as well.
I've heard rumors that there was someone running PPK with an N55 135, and my dealer said it was available based on my VIN, but the screen said N54 and I was like dude, that's not the right engine. So it still seems that little is known about this for the N55. |

Yeah but also a good starting point to save your warranty, and good upgrade to the fans.

I received a "Joy is Discovering Everything Under The Sun" brochure from BMW in the mail the other day.
It has the Performance Power Kit listed as available for the 1 series, 3 series and X6 starting from $1,356.50 CAD for the parts. |

That's great... there is a new performance accessories site, but it says PPK is only available for 2012 135 coupe & convertible, doesn't say anything about 335 2011 |

Under $1400cdn? I hope this is the kind of pricing we do get for the 335i... seems reasonable to me. Wonder also if more gains can result from coupling the engine kit with the BMWPerformance exhaust... The reported power gains are small but looking forward to more info especially if it improves throttle response or the tuning gives more power above 6000rpm.

Any idea of when it will be coming out?
I am in a ideal situation to get it right now. Need to replace both fan and radiator. Would be awesome to just go with the upgraded stuff, since OE stuff costs about 80% of the performance kit |

Well here's the annoying thing: 2012 135i which is N55 is listed on bmwusa.com under MSport bumper, but has no listings for 2011 When the dealer checks my VIN, since my car is a 2011 but 4/2010 production date it shows up with the N54 kit which is wrong. Dealer has no info on the N55 kit. They tried calling BMW NA but haven't gotten back to me. So bottom line - who knows?! |

Do we ridicule others for wasting thousands of dollars on ugly rims? Ugly body kits? Paint jobs? I sure don't.
To each his own, and it's not $4K. |

Your dealer is a thief. Current msrp is 2K with install max $700. Most dealers have 15-20% off msrp so this whole thing should cost under 2500

My dealer confirmed they can order the kit and sent me this screen shot.
However, they do not have the pricing yet. The guy is contacting Germany and comes back to me tomorrow with price and will tell me how long it takes for the parts to arrive.

Anyone see that recent video from Vegas that said there will be now 2 versions of the PPK - Stage 1 software only, and Stage 2 Software + Hardware?

Yes, I suspect stage 1 will be a lesser upgrade. It's possible stage 2 could be more than what the previous PPK offered, but being cynical I think stage 2 will be equal to what was offered in the existing PPK.

Yeah the way I see it PPK 2 will be what the "current" PPK is now... And PPK 1 will be probably half the software mod of PPK2 Depending on price, and whether PPK1's price pays into PPK2 this could be a good option to upgrade in stages |
