non-procede 335i going to the track tonight. tips?

hey guys i have an AT 335i sedan. i'm going to moroso tonight or mid-next week if everything goes as planned. i've never been to this track and i've only even been to two other 1/4 mile strips in my old MT mustang. i used to launch all different ways with that, but how should i launch to get the best times with my AT thanks

This has been discussed at length. There are several detailed topics about it if you search.

If I recall correctly, the recommendation was to rev to around 2000 and let the transmission shift on its own. That approach was yielding mid 13 second passes.

Good luck.

One of the site members "rflow" has the best 6AT quarter mile timeslip. Do a search on his name to find out how he did it.

I don't have auto, but I think having the revs at around 2000-2500 by keeping the car still by brakes yields best launches. Warm tires, cool turbos.

Yup, One push on the DTC button, and power brake to around 1700RPM, not too much or the tires will just spin. Thats on the street. On stickier conditions, or DR, just see how much rpm you can give it without spinning the tires.
