Stuff you dont want to find in your engine bay

A friend from an italian forum just bought a second hand BMW 135i Sauber Edition (limited version with almost all BMW performance parts) and found this nice little thing in his engine bay. Was connected to Fuel pressure and Tmap sensor i think....
He noticed it when he installed his Procede V5 which made the car go on limp straight away.
Any idea what kind of piggy this is?

Mickey Mouse Tuner....
The things people do to their cars today still amaze me. I remember when a friend of mine (without asking me) bought an Ebay "guaranteed 15 HP chip" for his acura. Thing was complete BS. Tricked the IAT sensor so it would lean out. Smart!

I dont see the resemblance...

N55 JB3 has like twice as much wiring, and twice as big hardware.

It isn't a BMS product. I think that is the VAC module. Sort of like a JB+. It's popular in Europe they say.
