Screw NJ

I'm from out of town (I drive 30k a year, I know how to drive) and in Parsippany/Madison area for work and was on the way home on I-287 north. I was merging in the right lane when some idiot drives on the shoulder and cuts right in front of me forcing me over. As I'm switching lanes, there is a monster pothole in between lanes. I bent two rims and got bubbles in both tires.

Has anyone had any luck filing a pothole claim in NJ?

Eh, I'm from Pittsburgh so I know what you mean. I'm not holding my breathe for anything but might as well give it a shot.

I had aftermarket 225/40/18" Breyton aftermarket with Conti DWS tires.

I know these aren't forged rims but I seriously doubt anything could have stood up to this pothole. Im also thinking it screwed with my headlight because it looks like it's misaligned now!!!

This sucks.

Ya, this thing should have been called a pithole because it ate up my car.

I wonder how the suspension held up, I only drove about another mile or 2 after hitting the pothole.

I cracked one rim and lost two tires and lost a headlight last Friday. I know how you feel.

I've never filed an insurance claim that was my fault for the 15 years I've been driving.

I'm wondering if it's about time to do that?

Did you file a claim? Between 1 rim, 2 tires and a headlight, you're probably pushing $2,500 at least.
