West Coast - Anyone Else on the "Grand Legacy"

Hello All,

My CA told me a few days ago I am on the "Grand Legacy" that departed Saturday 3/5/2011. Anyone else on this ship? I am on the west coast, but the first stop is New York/New Jersey due in 3/16/2011.

That is extremely odd that they are doing an east coast drop off before going to the west coast.

I agree ...all of the WW ships with west coast bound BMWs head directly for the Panama Canal after leaving the English Channel.

Yes true! Except there was one ship that arrived before mine, the Talia, that went to Georgia before heading to the Panama Canal. The trip ended up taking a lot longer as the ship mine was on, The Triton Leader, which left 3 days after, end up catching up to it and ultimately made it to the West Coast faster. I couldn't imagine it hitting up the North East Coast and going all the way around the states to hit the Panama Canal.

Thanks for the input on ship times. Doing a little bit more research, I found a vessel schedule for port Hueneme online:

The Grand Legacy is due to arrive at the port on April 1st.

I have a few customer cars on that one. E92 M3, E92 328i, and an E93 M3.

BMW has the ETA as 3/31

First Stop is New York, then off to Port Hueneme. My CA said it is scheduled to arrive 3/31 as well.

The Grand Legacy is waiting in the Panama Canal queue as of 6:00am this morning. Looks like it has been there since yesterday.

I am driving my wife nuts..the boat is now due at Port Hueneme on 4/5 (5 days late).

I was under the impression the car would stay on the ship until it got to Seattle. Does it get on truck from LA?

Tony,

All west BMWs are unloaded at Port Hueneme then they go to the VPC for prep. Then finally trucked up to Seattle. So when the Hojin arrives at Hueneme, your BMW will be unloaded then.

I picked up my m3 Wednesday.

It showed up out of nowhere.

I'm giddy.

Well, it's finally time for me to pick up my 335d. I have an appointment with my CA tomorrow at 4:00pm. I ordered it on 1/27. I am pumped!

Hey Guys,

I took delivery tonight of my Space Grey 335d at Seattle BMWs new show room. Tints put on yesterday at 15%. Painted reflectors go on tomorrow. Run Flats are off already (hate those).

Thought this day would never come! I am officially a diesel head now.
