AMS exhaust installed

Just installed today. We had problems adjusting tips to be even on both sides. We managed somehow....we also has a leak on the y-pipe but also fixed that.

Sounds awesome and not too loud. Have catless dp's btw.

Question: does an exhaust need a break-in period??

Nice. I like the AMS exhaust a lot. Glad you were able to work out the kinks. I'm guessing the muffler needs to break in a little.

No, an exhaust is just pipes, so it does not require a break in period

He meant a break-in in the sense that it could take some miles until a final sound note.

Most mufflers will change their tone after a few hundred miles but I wouldn't expect anything drastic

in my experience with catless ar downpipes and the ams exhaust, it does get louder after a few months of driving but it's not drastic. It's pretty loud on a cold start though....

Interesting, I found it to get a little quieter after a few months. But then again that could be me just getting accustomed to the sound, which I love.

Honestly guys I don't find it too loud. It's a bit ear pearcing around 1800-2000 rpm but then quiets down. Plus I have catless dp's. Expected it to be much louder. But has a nice deep sound to it

I did notice after 2 or 3 months the sound got a little louder/deeper.
