charge pipe to throttle body connections???
Well, hello.
I was wondering what everyone on these forums thinks about the two different throttle body connection types. The first being the stock c-clip style connection, and the second being the bead rolled end, silicone coupler, and t bolt clamp. The reason I am asking is because I am planning on putting together my own charge pipe along with the rest of the piping to the intercooler. I'll be purchasing a second stock pipe so I can keep my car operational while I take measurements and draw up a .ipt of the stock connector and sensor for the pipe. I'm also capable of writing the G-code for these as well. So, the only thing I would need to outsource really is the CNC itself and the welding of the various flanges onto the pipe. So...if anyone that comes across this could give their preference and why, that would be greatly appreciated. It would also help me in deciding if it is something I would like to make multiple copies of for anyone interested here. Basic idea is either a bead rolled end or a CNC'd stock connection, a CNC'd sensor flange, synapse BOV flange, and dual meth bungs (standard)the charge pipes would come with everything, no extra hidden costs, and would come with a second pipe that would lead from the charge pipe to the intercooler. Both pipes would also come standard in a black finish. Sorry to those looking for bling, but that's not my style and well...this will be my design haha Any who, thanks for the help and looking forward to the input! |
