Winter Tires On OEM rims

Hey guys, just wondering if this would work out. I want to seperate my OEM style 189 rims from my bridgestone potenze RFTS. Put the RFTS on a new set of rims, and use the OEM rims as my winter wheels with new snow shoes.

Does this work??

of course it would work. but if your going to buy bigger rims then that would not work with your rfts. for the oem rims you can put on winter tires no problem.

I have my winters on my OEM rims, I plan to get 18' summer wheels and tires. My OEM RFTS are spares I will but back when I resell.

I did exactly that with my 18s (193M) - pulled off the runflats and put on winters last fall. I have a set of 19s on order for the spring.

The only thing I regret is that I ordered a slightly narrower rear tire at the recommendation of the tire shop. It fit fine and drives fine, but it looks 'stretched' and I don't like the look much. My next set of winters will go back to the OEM width.

you can use a square setup for your winter tires on your oem rims, that way you can rotate at least one set of rubber on this car.

if we did not have winters in canada...my stock rims would just sit and collect dust...but i had winter tires on them...no problems like others have mentioned.....

I would love to introduce my RFT's to the biggest dumpster in Toronto That's where they belong.
