Dinan Stage 1 w/o cooler
Hi all-
Thinking of flashing to Dinan Stage 1 on 08 E92 sport. Don't have factory oil cooler so Stage 2 becomes very expensive quickly. BMW dealer recommending cooler for Stage 1 so interested in anyone is running stage 1 without it. Appreciate the feedback. |

Are you sure you dont have an oil cooler? i thought all 08 with sport package had an oil cooler. but to answer your question if your not tracking your call and just using it as a DD i think you should be fine to run stage one w/o oil cooler.

No issues with no oil cooler on an 07 here. I had Dinan stg 1 for about a year it is a nice slight bump up over stock. To be honest seems most who go Dinan stg1 or 2 eventually want more power and move on to something else IE JB4 or Procede I was going to go Procede but Cobb came out and I like the flash idea where i do not have to go in an out of my ecu periodically.
Cobb is amazing, the power difference is night and day. Dinan stg1 was exhilarating but Cobb is a whole different animal total beast now. To be honest save your money go with something else and get an intercooler and downpipes. I added AR catless DP's and a CP-e FMIC and my temps went down from stock and the Dinan flash when i was running them without. Another real pain in the ass had to drive 3 different times 100 miles to get Dinan re-installed after dealer had to do updates. I have nothing bad to say about Dinan but this is my personal experience current mods Cobb, CP-e FMIC and AR catless dp's. Good luck. |

Stage 1 no oil cooler
Love my stage 1 Dinan. Gives the car lots of extra pep and I liked that it was covered under warranty. Have had it for 2 years with no problems. Can tell the engine temps are a little high so wouldn't go stage 2 unless have oil cooler.

Been there using Cobb now. Zero comparison vs the two tunes car is a beast now and can only get better, Dinan stg1 just added some pep. Save your money and get DP's and FMIC. my car runs much cooler with these ads cooler than stock tune or dinan tune ever did. |
