AFR imbalance is gone!
After last weekend when I did my intake valve cleaning the AFR imbalance that I was seeing on my car in the procede AFR datalogs is now gone and I mean GONE! What used to happen is with boost raised past 13psi and RPM above around 4800rpm to about 6000rpm I'd see the AFR curves split off and not follow each other and it was always a case where bank 1 would be leaner by 0.5-1.0 points than bank2.
I did actually 2 things on the weekend: 1) Cleaned intake valves (decarb as in Mr. 5 thread) 2) I'm now running a 2nd crankcase vent off the top of the valve cover (see my PCV thread) Which one of these do you think helped resolve this issue? I could cap off the additional vent and see if the issue returns but not really eager to see it come back again |

Well if the PCV was restrictive and causing crankcase pressure to push oil past the rings/seals there's one idea how oil leaned out a fuel mixture..now with more pressure relief it may not be happening anymore...wouldn't be hard to test

I'll run a few tests on my way home after work today and see what's going on..this'll be a few more with the extra vent open on top of the ones that I've done up until today...then I'll close the vent and run a few tests and see what's up
