New e90 owner questions

Hi all,

Just purchased a CPO July 2008 build 335i and had a few newb questions about performance on it:

1) It looks like I most likely have an ECU version that is known for the "turbo lag" problem. The car does feel a little unresponsive when I'm at low RPM's. Even though my car was built after March '08, will getting upgraded to a newer ECU version be worthwhile?

2) Is it possible the "lag" I'm feeling is throttle response? I've had the car for a few weeks now and am trying to drive the hell out of it, but haven't noticed any difference in how the throttle responds.

2) Purchased a Bavarian Tech Basic cable with the JB+ , how do I check my ECU version with it?

Thanks!!!
