Talking Just installed jb4 and DCI

Wow! what a difference, it was a total pain the ass but at the end totally worth it, i spent like 3 hours installing the jb4 because i guess i was in a rush and was trying to install the big connector backwards , lol luckily i didnt break anything, i also forgot to install the cable for the laptop is this necessary??, i took the car for a spin and man this thing rips now, i smell a name change (itdoesgofast) , the dci intake makes a turbo woosh sound but i want something louder, how can i get my car to go whooshh?

today i got alot accomplished, tinted the car 20% all around, jb4 and dci.

usb cord is VERY nice to go back and install for updates etc.

Not a fan of the DCI, just took mine out and intake temps much better. DCI great for the drag, not so good for the track in my opinion.

Congrats! now the fun begins

Congrats, enjoy your "new" car

BTW, after you install that thing a few more times....you can do it in under 10 min. start to finish.

the amount of emo's used in that cool story hurts my eyes.

but congrats none the less

I think the "woosh" sound you're talking about comes from a blow-off valve.

lol sorry for the emos just got too excited, honestly the dci looks like a hot air intake to me, and i dont really trust the way its hooked up, hopefully it doesnt fail on me this weekend, im taking a 500 mile round trip with the family it would really suck if anything fails.

I guess ill leave the usb for another day, hopefully i dont have to take this thing apart for a while, doing a search on blow-off valves now.

You're fine, I been using the same DCI for 30K miles (cleaned every 10K). Yes it sucks in hot air, but the quantity of air volume compensates for the hotter temps. Get yourself a FMIC next!

do a search on DCI as well. Worrying about any performance part not lasting on a normal 500 mile trip is insane lol. Who would buy a part that wouldnt stand up to that?

Meth keeps it cool only when flowing in order to sustain high boost. FMIC keeps it cool (albeit, less cool) all the time.

Opinions vary on order of install, but, in IMHO, meth for power and FMIC for longevity and reliability.

So happy with the car, I was originally looking for a 04-06 e55 amg and for less money I got something newer and faster for less miles.

Drag radials + meth + LSD = low 12's even with a bad driver.

Went to a local shop to ask about meth and blow off valves, they have a stage 2 snow perf. $650 or $950 installed, they use the windshield washer reservoir and claim 70 hp increase aswell as cooler and cleaner engine, they showed me a supercharged challenger that has it, the only thing I dont like that theres a line tapped into the throttle body too obvious for the dealership.

As for the bov they recommend forge because of its reputation and how long it has been out, no price on the bov but they said they use the stock charge pipe, they told me tial is no good for my application because of its design, synaspe is good but they have had problems with the small screws loosening up and falling.

What do you guys think?
