Anyone else scheduled for PCD 23 April?

When did you get your date? My car left Bremerhaven on 3/12 and the earliest date I could get was 4/27. Now I really want to know if my CA was screwing with me.

Almost certainly not. PCD has suddenly become popular, with March booked solid early on and now April tight.

My car got on a boat on 17 March and became visible to the system as 'in transit' on the 19th, at which time my CA activated my PCD request, with specific preference for a Thursday in April. What came back was 23 April, a Monday, with a Thursday waiting-list offered but with no real hope that this would change the date. I said fine, let's keep the 23rd and I'll adjust my travel accordingly.

So appears to me that PCD customers are competing for a growing scarcity of opportunities. Talking with someone who did PCD last week, was told that the day's group had to be split in two (and was a great experience, as I had last September in a 550i).

Bottom line: go with the flow - if you've got a date, hang on to it.

Don't worry, I sleep with a gun under my pillow so if anyone tries to snatch my PCD date from me, they'll have to deal with my friends Smith & Wesson!

The reason why I was confused with your date is that I had originally requested 4/24 and being that I don't feel my CA is Johnny-on-the-Spot, I was surprised that you got offerred a date before mine. As well as the fact that your car left port after me. Oh well, if you stay around Spartanburg till Thusday, I'll buy you a drink @ the Marriot!
