Best of luck! Another BMW junkie in the making. Enjoy the wait, it seems longer than it really is.

Why are you lying to the guy? July 18th is 3 1/2 months away. You should tell him to try not the think about the car!

You are absolutely right. I guess you also tell asthmatics that if they don't breathe, they won't have to worry about taking in air.

Thanks all...the waiting is hard but, IMHO, all part of the journey.

This will be my 3rd ED and my 12th BMW. Each ED adventure has been incredible and I have every reason to believe this one will be also. My kids are finally getting old enough to be reasonable to travel with (4 and 8). It is too bad that I wont be able to head to the Nurburgring this year...oh well. Apparently Monza has the same program, but only during the winter months. I am trying to see if I can convince them to open it up to me so I can write an article for Roundel... We'll see if they buy that

Good luck to you man. Sounds like you've had some fun in the past with all the ED's. I wish to do that someday... congrats on this being no.12

Thank you NPDAN! My ED experiences have been all different, and all great! I remember doing ED once with my family when I was a kid...My dad got a red 911. It was winter time and the car was filthy. We pulled into the center of some small town in Germany, right in front of some fountain. My dad and I got out, in the snow, and splashed water from the fountain onto the car to wash it.

My last ED was in 2005, and we picked-up an X3. My oldest son and I took a tour of the Munich factory together (he was 6 at the time). On the u-bahn ride back to the hotel he put his head on my lap (it was late at night) and said "Thank you daddy for taking me to do that. I know it was very special to you. But let's never do that again, ok?" So many great memories which all come flooding back every time you see your ED car.

I really hope people take advantage of this program. It is a wonderful thing!!

I will do that someday with my kids... They're still a little young though. 2 1/2 and 4 mo. It is something I want to experience and I will... Thanks for the stories and be sure to post pictures on this upcoming delivery run.
