I wish I was, sounds like a really cool concept. Stupid PA (although I do understand the state's hesitancy with it)

The less intrusion by any authority in my life the better, even if I can save some money.

NO THANK YOU!!!!!

fuck progressive. i used to pay $79/mo (full coverage) for my Jetta. When I got my E92 i called them straight from the dealership and switched. It was $106/mo for E92. Not bad.

4 months later I get a renewal letter and they are saying that it is $1700 for 6 months!
Called to ask wtf and they told me because my car is "high performance" my insurance is going up. Apparently they forgot to press the "Rape Customer" button when I called them from the dealer. At that time I had no tickets and 1 not-at-fault accident on my record.

Dropped them immediately and went with another company. Tried Geico first, but it was even more expensive! Mercury ended up being the cheapest i have found. Slightly above what Progressive originally charged me.

Plus you got to be stupid to let insurance company judge your driving...

My good friend did the snapshot and took 1 month of grandma-ish driving. Lowered his rate from $140 a month to $90 a month. Worth it for one month of easy going if you can hold back!

I personally have SF cause they are the cheapest for me by a long shot!

never stick with one company for too long, otherwise you get screwed. always shop around. State farm was the cheapest for me at one point, then geico, then progressive. More than likely i'll be going round robin to state farm at some point again.

yep correct there's no contracts. you can even leave in the middle of your 6 month renewal period. If your new company cares they'll take care of the transfer/everything involved with that....sometimes

You can cancel insurance and move to a new company any time. You are never locked in for the full period.

I had a different insurance when I totaled my car, and I canceled them after it was all resolved and didnt have insurance for a WEEK until I got another car. I then got because they were the cheapest but, Progressive started out cheap and a week later they called me too and jacked the fucking price up because of the WEEK GAP. I said fuck them and put my car on my dads company insurance and pay like $70 a month now vs $300 a month they wanted.

I'm enrolled in the Snapshop program but have not yet installed the device.
I learned that for Virginia, the snapshot program will not raise your rates past what you originally had before you install the device.

In some states, if your the snapshot program may increase you rates (depending on your driving habits)
