335i Fuel pump question
For all of you that have had your fuel pump replaced I have a question... actually two questions.
1. Does the 335i have more than one pump? 2. If so, which is the one that is failing? Many thanks, John |

Supposedly the defective fuel pumps were installed in vehicles produced between 6/6 and 9/6, and vehicles produced afterwards do not have the same problem. This is pure hearsay on my part, though, as I do not have the source of that statement-- one thing that is consistent is that the pumps fail under wide-open-throttle, and if they're going to fail, they fail early in their lives (< 6000 miles) Once you have 10k plus on them, not many reports of failures.

I'm a 10/06 production car. Looks like my fuel pump failed as I got exactly the same symptoms as people who have described fuel pump failures. Car's going into the dealer on tuesday, will keep you updated on the diagnosis.

Go figure.
