Alabama?
Hey gang..
I'm from Dallas, TX but I'm getting a promotion and they gave me two options 1) San Diego California 2) Mobile Alabama SD is wayyyy tooooo expensive to live even with the salary raise I will be getting, and decided to relocate to Mobile Alabama. I just wanted to see how is life there, night life for mid/upper 20's .. where are some good hang out places, bar, etc... I know it will be different from Dallas, but I think it's a great opportunity for me. Also any pointers which neighborhood will be good so stay .. also looking for APT/condo type area thanks!! |

hey man, I'm originally from Mobile, and lived there for almost all of my life until I moved to Auburn to go to college. great city to raise a family in, but not sure about the night life aspect seeing as I'm still not 21 yet =\... haha. But I know they have some decent bars downtown and honestly, Biloxi, MS is only a 30-45 minute drive from mobile, so if you're really looking for something to do adult oriented then they always have the strip of casinoes. I spoke to a member on the forum who actually lives in mobile right now and he drives a 135i and 335i. he might know better about the night life in mobile than I do.
As for places to live, Mobile is the type of city where you can easily find yourself in a bad part of town really fast... Where exactly are you going to be working at? like the address... my recommendation right now on places to look at would be the West Mobile area. That's the part i'm from and its a really nice part of Mobile. Apartments can be found on Schillinger Road, Cottage Hill Road, Grelot Road, Hillcrest Road, and University. Those are the areas I'd recommend living at if you're looking for an apartment. |
