No Front Licence plate ticket on PARKED CAR

Woke up this morning to a no front plate ticket - car was parked right outside my house on the st - didn't park it in the drive way that night for misc reasons and been driving for 2+ yrs without it.

There is no fine checked out, so I guess I have to visit court for this bs, i know this has been discussed a couple of times on here so I'll search for a good bracket, or just continue to rock it without it and pay the fine if its like $50 or something, but how the fuck do you give a moving violation to a parked car lol

Nassau cops have nothing better to do I swear. This too at midnight

I just paid my no front plate ticket $50 + $80 surcharge = $130... I thought I had one month to pay, but I only had 15 days. My tow-hook still in the fedex box, been sitting in the closet for 6months. I might start using it =(

i got 3 in less than a month (parked)

two of them were less than 24 hours apart

i decided to put the plate on

double sided tape works fine. even after all the humidity and stuff. and my car always sits in direct sunlight pretty much. street parked

edit: make sure you curve the plate to conform to the bumper or the sides pop off. although my plate stuck on fine with only the middle adhering. would look better curved anyway

I don't like the tow hook plate look after driving with it for 2 months so thinking of just using double sided tape or velcro as well.

just tow hook it... easiest way... velcro/double sided tape is tacky IMO...

just pay the ticket unless NY has fix-it tickets and you can add the tow hook and prove it...

money grubbing jerks these days!

So is it worth going to court, I could use the replaced bumper thing as an excuse but than I probably need some paper work for that, i don't think i could just take a picture with the plate on it and send it now, guess I'll just have to pay it online il wait a couple days to see what it says the fine is.

call the # on the ticket ask how much and pay it... i know for NJ tickets it will tell you direct amount online if you wait a couple days for it to get in the system...

I recently paid a "obstruction of view" ticket. it tells you online... if you go to the last page.

Hey...Been using no plates on a lot of my cars for years. Always had to pay, the excuses didn't matter. It's illegal, they can ticket you for it moving or parked. I had both several times (LOL). What I did for the parked, was kept the front plate behind my seat on the floor. Tossed it on the dash when I parked on the street. But I also didn't have to do that very often...Just my $.02

Motorized.

Another option is magnets. I've seen a member on L4P that installed Hard Drive magnets behind the bumper cover.
