Best Tint shops in CT?
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows any tint shops that do a great job? I've been told that Tint Masters in Hartford is really good, but they are charging close to $300 to tint my car. I think that is a bit outrageous or is it? |

You get what you pay for. The Art of Tint in NYC charges $400, but I heard great thing about them.

I was quoted $250 for my E92 at Gotham Auto Works in Danbury, CT. Anyone here tried them before? I'm in the Stamford/Norwalk area. Last edited by JTWCT; 01-30-2012 at 03:46 PM.. |

Let us know if you end up using Gotham. They are not that from me and that is a good price. There is also a place call Silver Lining on Mill Plain Rd. in Danbury. Thanks

I've used Gotham Auto Works in the past, and had my 335i tinted by them. They do a really good job, and included in that $250 price was the addition of the black-out strip along the top rear window to cut down on that crap-tacular bubbling that our dot-matrix causes. They also said they'd modify the inside front window molding for me if I was worried about them scratching the tint. The owner Kevin is a really cool guy.
...now I just need to ask them if they are comfortable doing all my headlight/taillight Lamin-x for me, cause I've done a fine job of botching that all up. |

i went to Sunlimited in Bridgeport. $200 bucks, lifetime warranty. Just be careful if you have a E92, the matrix dots on the back windshield makes the tint not stick and it looks like shit.

I can't PM you. Let me know if you're interested in getting your tints done. I got in touch with them via email and if I have you and the other guy I can try to broker down maybe to like $200? Apparently, they do an amazing job with the dox matrix. Thanks! |

I live in Stamford and had my tints done at The Tint Shop down in Great Neck, NY. About the same drive as it would be to Danbury (at the right time of day), and Joey is great and the price was way better than anything in this thread. The quality is amazing and he did a fantastic job of taking care of the dot matrix. I can't speak highly enough of him.

I was planning on waiting until the spring so I can get a full detail at the same time. Maybe I'll try to work a discount by having multiple services done (that doesn't sound good). |

Re-Re-Opening this thread:
Has anyone actually gone to Tint Master in Hartford and have any comments or pictures as to how they handle the dot matrix issue? Everyone seems to be recommending tint shops in Southern CT which seems like a bit of a drive from where I am (Hartford area). Last edited by MrBigglesworthe; 06-05-2012 at 08:01 PM.. |

I used Tint Man in Monroe on my E92 328, E90 335, E80 X3, E60 535 and E70 X5. Happy with the results on all of em. I'd definitely recommend them.
