If you were to abandon the 5-10 maps, which v5 maps would you load?
For those following this thread, you know what I'm talking about. I thought to start a new thread since there was no concensus in that one as to which maps to run.
Shiv's working on new June maps and he's said he's going to revert back to the old boost logic (paraphrasing), but in the meantime, before those come out, for those who have issues with the 5-10 maps (my biggest gripe - any many others - is that the boost ramp up is so much slower than on previous maps), which maps did you go with? I actually went straight from V4 8-17 maps to the V5 5-10 ones, and was shocked at how much slower the response was. I even dare to say - with flamesuit on - that my car feels stock like unless I really get on the gas now, whereas before in traffic, it felt so nimble when I just tapped the throttle. It was like dancing thru traffic... ![]() And before you suggest it... No, changing the default value of boost gain from 45% to 50% does not fix it. It makes it a little better, but not even close to before. I have these V5 maps, which were on his site at some point (I was not part of any beta tester group):
The 5-25 maps have only been sent to a select few on the beta list, so I'm not even counting those. If I didn't have so many issues on the V4 maps with lean AFR's, I'd have gone back to them... Which are the strongest and less problematic? |

3-30 or 12-17 are the most stable maps.

3-30 - I can deal with the split second delay on start-up.

I've never updated since v4 11-04-2010 and I love the maps and firmware. Until there is a solid v5 auto tuning release I'm not budging.

I'm gonna try the 12-17 Maps today... doing anything to get rid of this annoying rattle. Thought it was classic wastegate rattle but it only happens with the new maps
