Some n55 questions
Hey whats up everyone i just got a new 2011 e92 335i n55 below is the thread i posted with pictures.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=548382 I have some questions about performance mods. First question is with downpipes what is the difference between the vishnu and the AR dp. Which one is better i see that there pretty similarly prices. does one have more gains than the other and is the fitment the same. Also is dp with a stock car outrageously loud or is it not to loud? Then with intakes. i know aFe and injen both have intakes for the n55 basically i have the same questions for this as i did for the dp. Lastly what tunes do you recommend i dont really know the difference between the ones that and what is offered have for the n55. Thanks for all the help and please if you have nothing good to say just move along. any other recommendations for the car feel free to tell

AR downpipes are the best. they have the most beautifully crafted welds. you won't be disappointed. you can also look iCarbon dps up. They look nice also.

But yes, AR seems to be the most popular on this site.

See Jeff form Top Gear Solutions he will help you out with what you need. You probably want the Procede for N55 and AR or Vishnu DP. AR is 4 inch and vishnu is 3.5 but I dont think the size matters until you get up to big HP numbers which really arent achievable on stock turbo anyway.

I don't believe the n55 downpipes are 800 bucks, and for the n55 they are the biggest gain other than a tune. (not including meth)

the downpipes are 660-675
why is the procede($940) almost double the price as the jb3 ($380) is there a difference that is twice as good about it?

Safety? Reliability? Performance?
Ya one is made from radio shack parts, the other is made from one of the best tuning hardware in the industry. This is a BMW not a Honda. |

I had both. If you want my advice i say go with JB3. Don't listen to these other foo's knock JB. I like the Procede as well, but for the N55 the procede as of right now is not worth the extra money to me.

tune
I strongly suggest you talk to some of the vendor that knows what they are talking about. You can call or pm topgearsolutions as he will explain the pro and cons of each unit and why Procede is more expensive and why JB is cheaper. Remember that people can write whatever they want on this forum and lots of it is crap. Get info from reputable source or contact people that know what they are talking about. Thats all.

My experience is, if you go to the dealer take out the tune (very easy, takes about 20 mins)
For downpipes, my SA has jokingly pointed it out when I left it in for service, he didn't really care |
