Smile Procede User Tuning Interface and User Tuning Beta Maps

Hi guys,
As promised, the new User Tuning goodies have been posted up here: http://www.procedetuning.com/BMW/n54...downloads.html

You DO NOT have to custom tune these new maps. They will run perfectly fine at the default settings. They should perform identically to the 6-14 maps that everyone is so happy with. So don't, by any means, feel pressured to custom tune them. But if you want to custom tune, you must use these maps. This is because earlier maps are not configured for custom tuning.

Please carefully read the Read Me file that is in the 7-11 map folder.

Before everyone starts tearing into the maps and remapping things that don't really need to be remapped, I suggest you wait until later this week when we post Part 1 in our easy-to-follow tutorial on Step-by-Step User Tuning Tutorial. Step 1 will focus on fuel mapping with and without PWM methanol injection. It will be easy to follow and understand. And it will be a very important fundamental on which to build upon. Part 2 in the series will follow next week. And Part 3 the next. Don't expect to understand everything you need to know based upon the User Tuning Software Basic Tutorial I posted up last week. That was more of a tutorial on how the software works. Not necessarily how to tune your engine

Cheers,
shiv

Shiv,

Nice!

Do you think the custom maps will be a big benefit for those of us at altitude?

Suggestion would be two separate tracks one for user tuning, a identically named one that is not meant to be user tuned. I suspect 99% of us will stick to the leave-good-enough-alone camp.

If we are currently running 6-14 maps and are NOT going to be fine tuning anything is there any benefit to loading 7-11 maps?

I'll load them if they have Autotune enabled!!!

Will there be usermade maps for download? So if someone with a similarly modded car created a good map we can have access to it through your site?

That would be crazy. Why would you want to try a map someone else has made. Trust people much?

Just uploded to my car, haven't autotune it yet as no time today. But I can tell you guys, this firmware and map are awesome so far I think, I feel my steering is lighter than previous maps as the horse power is back. Also, the horrible hiccups and hesistations on map 6-10 seem gone, not sure yet but I will know it later on by driving more my car on this newest firmware map.

By the way, (1) <~~ mean On in autotune wise, am I right?

Good Job Shiv +like ^ ^

Shiv - Might want to update the 7-11 readme. It says to update the firmware to #107 (correct) and then load maps 6-14 (incorrect). Following the readme step by step may confuse someone and they may go back and load the 6-14 maps.
