Well, now it's my turn to post in this section

e90 2006 330i

Selling the car, as I've been traveling quite a lot lately and it's just sitting in the garage.
Car was bought as a CPO from a BMW dealership, so was maintained and repaired when needed (why wouldn't you use the warranty when you have it?). Car was never tuned or modified, everything is stock. Canadian car, no accidents.
It has premium package and the audio package (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think 11 speakers+2 subs were not standard on 330i and were a package).

It was cared for (you can see from the photos), it's very clean and in excellent shape, serviced at BMW dealerships (have paperwork). There is still BMW warranty left till August. Can provide VIN, if interested.

Will e-test and do safety certification at no additional cost

PLUS:
- Winter rim&tire package (17 inch rims + one-winter-used Dunlop Wintersport 3D 225-45-17, value of ~$2000);
- Winter + summer floor mats.

Pretty sure that people browsing this site know quite a lot about 3-series, but here's a brief description anyways:

330i was the top of the line 3-series in 2006.
Car description:
- 130000 km (80% highway)
- I6 255 hp engine;
- Black exterior; black interior;
- Automatic Steptronic 6speed ZF Transmission;
- Traction and Stability Control;
- Front, side, curtain airbags;
- Real leather (not all 3 series have real leather);
- Logic 7 Audio Package (BMW factory upgraded stereo: 11 speakers + 2 subwoofers);
- Additional set of tires and rims (winter);
- Adaptive Xenon Headlights (330i and 335i feature);
- Power seats with memory and lumbar support, power side mirrors;
- Auto dimming mirrors - great feature for those driving at night;
- Tinted one year ago (legal tint %, lifetime warranty on tint).




Difference between 330i vs 323i, 325i, 328i:
- 330i has bigger brakes;
- 330i has German ZF automatic transmission, whereas automatic 323i, 325i, 328i have GM transmission.

Correction 11 speakers total, the two subs are part of the 11 speakers

13 total. On the rear shelf, there's a mid-range and a tweeter under one cover.

And you are right; Logic 7 came as an optional package.

Two other differences between your 330 the other 3'er is the 3 stages intake manifold and a less restrictive exhaust system.

Sorry but my 2006 325 has the same tranny......

- 330i has German ZF automatic transmission, whereas automatic 323i, 325i, 328i have GM transmission.

Used to read somewhere here, that 325 is GM. Searched and couldn't find the answer:

the ZF tranny? (found in 2006 325i/330i)

or

the GM tranny? (found in all 328i's)

After doing some research through a North American BMW parts catalog here is what I found:

323i : ZF 6HP19Z
325i : ZF 6HP19Z
328i : ZF 6HP19Z
330i : ZF 6HP19Z
335i : ZF 6HP19Z

323i LCI : GM 6L45R
328i LCI : GM 6L45R
335i LCI : ZF 6HP19Z
335d LCI : ZF 6HP26Z (443 ft/lbs)

325i, 330i, and 335i = AT by ZF
328i = AT by GM

The E90 325i, 335i and 330i both use a ZF unit and the 328i uses the Hydra-Matic 6L50.

Then it says that GM is used for 07+ 325 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GM_6L50_transmission (not sure if it's only for European models)

Anyways, looks like there is no 100% sure answer what cars use what transmission. All I know is that 330i is ZF If it's the same for 325i, I'm happy for 325i owners

P.S. My topic was not intended to be against 323i, 325i, 328i, 335i, or any other cars.
