Hill assist?

Did BMW cheap out? My 59 plate mini had this feature but my 60 plate 318d Doesnt seem to have it? I remember reading that it was being discontinued from 4 cylinder models? I guess thats whats happened?? Kinda miss it. Lazy I know but handy some crazy hills in city centre Glasgow. Back to the old handbrake method.

yeh i found out my 11 plate 320ED doesnt have it! i thought it was standard, then i started rolling backwards down a hill! LOL

Standard only on six pots, never was on a newer four pots AFAIK.

Bloody awful thing - so boring.
And I HATED the bloody ebrake.
I mean, HTF can you get a drift going with that?
The thing just 'bong bong bongs' at you if you press it whilst in motion, and it won't ever lock the wheels

The noise is embarrasing too - you notice how pedestrians stare at your car?
