Can anyone tell me what this wire is for?

Hi people
Can anyone tell what this wire connector is for sticking out from under my rear seat?
I thought after about 4 years with the car, it is about time to ask!

It's where the ejection seat plugs in! JK!

Did you buy the car new or used. That looks to be something aftermarket.

That's strange that its been there for 4 years. Can you trace the wire at all? I know all the fuel components are on that side of the car. But I'm sure the car wouldn't run too great if something in the fueling system wasn't plugged in.

Hopefully someone can help figure out what it is.

I remember seeing that in my wife's first E90. I think it's for a battery tender when shipping but, it's been about 4 years so I may be wrong.

I lost count to how many times people have asked about this wire.

It's used during transport. They unplug the battery in the trunk and plug a tender up to that wire so the car retains memory/you can open the trunk so you can reconnect the battery.

You'll find the other in the battery compartment....unplugged as well.
