Eggy smell when starting up the car!
Hello guys just wondering has anyone experience an EGGY smell when starting up the car from cold????
I currently own a 320d Msport E90, is there some kind of problem thats need sorting out??????? My service is not due for another 3.500 miles..... Thanks for you time and input. |

Could be a cat, could also be issues with the DPF and regen cycles.
Some cars just always smell a little, especially if short tripped with no chance to get hot and burn out all the crap. Try thrashing it for a few miles and see if it improves. I can smell mine a little when cold and I use ULS diesel too. Cats don't operate optimally until over 400C anyhow, is it still smelly when hot? Do you do lots of short, easy trips?
