Diesel manual xdrive

I would like a diesel with a manual trans and x-drive. I am willing to do a swap but wondering what I should start with.
1). A gasser with manual trans and x-drive then install a diesel engine OR
2). A diesel and I stall a manual trans and x-drive

Neither option is smart, nor cost effective. Wait for the 550dM, which will at least have xDrive.
