325i winter wheels thoughts

Everyone

Has anyone any good ideas or suggestions for winter wheels for a 325i? I am interested in going with 16" wheels and 205-55x16 tyre (non-runflat, as I have a spare set from a previous gen 3-series).

I see there are a number of options from tirerack and discounttire, though I am interested in hearing peoples experiences and recommendatnios. Lower end would be preferable (not too keen to spend much on winter wheels which lead a tough life).

Thanks in advance

My recommendation is to get steel wheels in 16", and then pick up some BMW hubcaps at your dealership or online. No sense in springing for alloy rims for winter wheels! If they made steel wheels in 18", I might keep my carrera

Thanks again

I think (gulp) your BMW dealer will sell you the correct steel wheels pretty cheap. What and where you do with them after is your business!

Search around here and you'll find quite a few discussions regarding tires. You don't have to decide for awhile yet!

Thanks, spoke to my BMW dealer and he suggested to try aftermarket as it would be a lot more cost effective.

Has anyone tried the Bobert Type CA wheels on their E90 and does the offset match?

I will be getting my 325i soon, it will have the 17" sports wheels, I would like to know will 16" steel wheels and winter tires fit fine, with proper clearance around brakes etc.
thanks

16" wheels on 325i

There are a number of 16" wheels listed on www.tirerack.com for the 325i. I don't think that there are any steel wheels around (I would prefer them). You need to get as close to the 34 offset as possible.
