I use a leaf blower to get all of the water out of the nooks and crannies of the car, and some excess water off. Combined with sheeting, there is very little water for me to dry with the MF towels, but I still end up needing them.

A leaf blower definitely makes life easier.

After i thoroughly wash and dry the car, I'll QD all the jams on the doors, trunk, and gas cap. Then I'll do a quick once over the cracks of the car to remove that excess water that ends up dripping down the side leaving its trails.

I only use the leaf blower to dry. MF towels are barely used after.
Yes... people look at you like you're crazy, but it makes it so much
easier to dry the car.

i use the absorber haha, i guess i'm still conventional but that thing works great and is better than any mf towell i've used. u can unfold it and lay it down and pick up all the water in one spot, no rubbing just lower and lift. it smells like tortillas too .

I don't know how many people actually do this, but this is what I've always done. After washing thoroughly, the wax should still be on, so since you wash on clear days, pull out and take it for a spin, usually over 30-40mph on a straightaway for even a minute. The water beads up and flies off the car quite easily. At the end of it all there's very few droplets left to clean, most of it is on the rear of the car. Works for me all the time

The only reason people look at me is because my car is drenched on a perfectly sunny day...

Some of the best money I have spent so far on my detailing equipment is from Griot's. I bought the Four Peak Horsepower Air Blower part number 15022. I like this so much more then my leaf blower because I can get the air nozzle into very tight area's to get all water out. Much easier to handle then a leaf blower. It is very powerfull.

I used to use this on my motorcycle...hard to dry the engine on a bike. People thought I was crazy, but one by one, the leafblowers began to emerge from different houses on the street.
