Vishnu Pwm Methanol and its missing screws
My dealer installed it in front of my eyes. I am sure that all screws were %100 tightened. After 5k km of driving. I opened the hood to look something, I saw this.
As you see on the pictures, 3 of the 4 screws which hold and around the pump, were missing. My advice to you is check it out sometimes. Last edited by garfi; 11-20-2011 at 04:45 PM.. |

The nyloc nuts was probably tighten to loose and the screw wasn't locked by the nylon collar insert, which is placed at the end of the nut.
A nyloc nut will not peel off if it's installed and tighten correctly. |

As I understood from your expressions, it is a different part from the thing which is at the end of the screw (and tightened to the screw) as you can see it on the left top of the pump on the first picture. But all of 4 screws came with same part as you can see on the left top of the pump on the first picture. And I am sure that dealer tightened all of them again. Now we renewed the missing screws and we polished with nail-polisher all of the nuts which are at the end of screws. |

Off topic, but I have a question about the PWM meth kit.
I am about buy a kit form another member who never put it on his car and he sent me pictures of the set up just for verification and the pump in the kit he has is made by AEM. I thought the PWM kit used the aquamist pump? I am sure its all the same thing but I am curious about it. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

Some red loctite will help. The pump vibrates those screws when it's pumping and it will loosen the screws for sure. Like I said some loctite and let it dry will prevent this from happening
