I am running JB4 map 3 with meth 70/30 DA mix. With DCI and 3" DP's

Have only hitting about 15.5 peak boost in 1st and 2nd gear, once in 3rd gear i saw 16 psi on my Rix gauge

just wondering if this is normal or low, i thought i read that with meth i should be pulling about 18psi

It all depends on your meth additive You specify the boost in the JB4 software for map3

exactly , all written in the meth setup guide Stay around 17 psi first and than log.

When you change your meth mixture from 50/50 to 70/30 do you need to re config the settings in the JB4 control program>??

Nope, the settings are not mixture related except for changes you might make yourself in response to your ignition timing quality.

Well, I'm actually having the same issue. I have DCI, DPs, JB4 and WW meth + 93. I'm running 80/20 denatured alchy with 40 meth additive. However I could only see less than 16 psi peak boost. Does this sound normal ?

If timing is fine, raise your additive. I was running 50 for the longest time. Then switched to 55 additive. The other day I raised it to 60 additive, although it doesn't seem to have made a significant difference. I am not on the most aggressive resistor though. And on stock resistors, you may be close to be capped out. Raise it, and compare your logs. (as long as timing is good). And remember, it takes about 3 full throttle passes to see where you timing settles down to. (I cringe at the though of people that have switched tunes, at the dyno, and expect optimal results. )

meth additive at 30 on 93 octane is 18psi target...sounds like you either aren't registering max flow or might have a slight boost leak so you can't boost over 16psi ? did you adjust the pump pressure when you installed the meth ??

hotrod - additive 60 would be +6 psi under max flow so are you hitting 21psi ? what octane are you running ?

Map 3 should be a base of 13lbs so an additive of 60 should be 19ish..as far as I understand.

Map 3 also has an autotuning feature. If timing isn't maxed out it will Turn down boost.
