Yeah I know... but I've never been able to get into podcasts. Tried a few times, but just can't do it.

At least he has his car show on Speed now... It's no Top Gear, but its workable.

Now that I think about it, I don't think I agree with everything he said.

I'm all for not being pricks to people that work hard and are self-made millionaires and looking up to them instead, but what about the guys who fucked up the global economy? Those were the guys OWS was really protesting (or at least they used to be ). I mean the guys who willingly invested dangerously with our money, only to be bailed out with our money months later should not be compared to hard-working, self-made millionaires like Corolla and many others. Fuck those guys with flaming cattle prongs. If I see one of them driving down the street in a Rolls Royce I'll throw my feces at him. If I see a 20-yr old IT genius driving one, then I'll look up to him.

For the most part I think Corolla is right, but I think he's defending the wrong guys too... probably on accident.

"Self-made" multi-millionaire... and yes, I would too.. might learn something valuable.

Adam has worked his way from absolutely nothing to be where he is. He's not someone who got a $50 million quarterly bonus for being in the right place at the right time. He's about as normal and grounded as millionaires come and his opinion is always objective, which is why he has been one of my favorite people to listen to.

And it's OK to be mad at that, but without government intervention (e.g. backing risky loans, requiring a certain number of the loans be originated, bailing out failing companies, etc.) none of this would've happened. Socialism is the cause of this- not the solution. The OWS crowd needs to be protesting the government instead of rich guys in general. Government is where the real power lies.

Anyone who thinks ALL of the banks wanted bailouts, they're dreaming.

OWS (at least the informed ones) is protesting the fact that the government is clearly on the side of the rich. They are not protesting the fact that people are rich, nor are they protesting capitalism in general. They are protesting a system that protects the rich at the expense of the poor; a system where multi-million dollar corporations are given rights that supersede those of the general population because they line the pockets of politicians with gold. And in turn, the politicians enact laws and regulations which fully support the will of the corporations. They are not protesting capitalism; they are protesting the entanglement of business and politics.

This is backed up by the almost militant police response to the occupy protests. Tea partiers were waving guns around.. I shudder to think what would happen to these kids if they did the same. The DHS conducted secret meetings with the mayors of major cities with occupy movements to give directions on how to quell the movements. The National Defense Authorization Act was overwhelmingly passed (93 to 7) the other night, effectively declaring US soil a battleground and destroying the 5th amendment. Wisconsin is now requiring people to pay for permits just to protest.

It's not about democrats vs republicans to me any more. Politicians on both sides are crooked, as has been known for a long time, but the extent of their treachery borders treason. The government has been slowly taking away our liberties under the guise of protecting us. It started with Homeland Security and the TSA, and even the director of the TSA called the whole department a miserable money-sucking failure. It spread to our media, with ridiculous color-coded terror alerts to keep us on our toes. News reports call OWS movements "operation disrupt the city" and other condescending names, falsely report the numbers attending those movements, and even send in their own agents to disrupt the movements and pretty much make the protesters look bad. And that's no surprise, because the big companies that these kids are protesting are who own all the media outlets, save for the internet. And even that is going to be censored if the SOPA bill really does come into effect. Free speech? Guess we don't need that amendment either, any more.

Some of these people are disgruntled kids, but it goes much deeper than that. There is a difference between unemployed and underemployed. The big corporations have been exporting jobs for years (thanks in part to Clinton and Bush, no right vs left bullshit, they're all full of it) and that is why we have an underemployment problem in this country. If Ford really cared about the American people, Canadians and Mexicans wouldn't be building Ford engines, Romanians wouldn't be building our Transit Connects, etc.

And everything Congress is doing right now is against us, the people, and for the big companies. The NDAA puts us directly into a police state. No more due process; we can get locked up under the pretense of "terrorism" for disagreeing with our government. It's a sad state of affairs.

“These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert, to fleece the people”

"Any people anywhere, being inclined and having the power, have the right to rise up, and shake off the existing government, and form a new one that suits them better. This is a most valuable - a most sacred right - a right, which we hope and believe, is to liberate the world."

- Abraham Lincoln

"How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think."

“Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it. ”

- Adolf Hitler

What the fuck is going on in my country?

I don't think socialism is all bad, but I hate the part that bailed out the guys who ruined it all. I thank our bought politicians for that. Also OWS used to be against both the corrupt bakers and the corrupt politicians. I don't know wtf they're on about any more.

Edit: everything 1speed said times 100,000,000

That is the issue I have, most of the people I have witnessed are morons.
