ShadowLine B Pillar Trims

Always fancied the High Gloss Shadow Line B Pillar trims. Found the part numbers on realoem.com. Might only need the first 4 listed below as the 5th & 6th part numbers are for the smaller trims on the rear doors. Could be quite a cheap mod but will look good (esp on a black car) - just depends on how difficult to do!!!

So, has anyone done this and how easy is it?

I guess some of you guys who have added/deleted the chrome round the windows might have an idea?

FINISHER WINDOW FRAME B-PILLAR FL DOOR GLANZSCHWARZ 51337906907 $36.83
FINISHER WINDOW FRAME B-PILLAR FR DOOR GLANZSCHWARZ 51337906908 $36.83

FINISHER WINDOW FRAME B-PILLAR RL DOOR GLANZSCHWARZ 51357906909 $35.99
FINISHER WINDOW FRAME B-PILLAR RR DOOR GLANZSCHWARZ 51357906910 $35.99

WINDOW GUIDE WEB COVER LEFT 51357906913 $35.99
WINDOW GUIDE WEB COVER RIGHT 51357906914 $35.99

any pics of what you are talking about? I will look at realoem to see the reference pics. But would like to see real world pics on a car. Too many trim these day to know what is what.

No pictures - but it's basically a gloss black finish on the b pillars - comes as standard on the MSport versions I believe!

hey tex, that's the shadowline window trim, the B pillar trim should look good on your TiAg, I don't really like the matte look of the B pillar trim, saw a 5series with the M pack with the glossy pillar trim, looks very nice

oh, I see now. The ext B pillar trim . that is why i alsway ask for photo (coz too many trims and too many terminology). Yes, I was thinking of putting CF for the B pillar as well but not sure if I like the glue on trim. I rather have the full piece so I guess the gloss piece would make me happy.

my thought exactly, I've been debating on the CF sticker as well, and I too don't really care for the stick-on look. Straight on, it would look okay, but from the side, you would see that it's a stick-on, I rather have a full replacement piece

I am going to take a stab at this. To remove the ext b pillar, my guess is you will have to take the int door panel off which give you access to the b pillar. I dont see it being any other way since there are no visible screws or places you can pry it out. When I took off my door panel, I did not inspect the area near the b pillar. I did not take pics of that area either  .

That ebay item is for the part which goes around all the side windows. Here in the UK 4 cyl engines get a black plastic version, 6 cyl get chrome and MSport gets the Shadlowline one in the link above. We're talking about the b-pillar covers on the doors. I'll go find a picture to clear this up! ;-)

I just used the pic in my sig. The part numbers I listed are for the bits circled. Mine are matt black, the Shadowline ones are Gloss Black! You can get stick-on covers in Carbon Fibre etc, but I'm trying to find out how hard it would be to replace the OEM ones with new OEM ones!

That's exactly the mod I want to do next on my E91... the parts are not that expensive, but I don't know, if you could get them changed by yourself... anyone done this before?

i know the front doors are easy to do. you just roll the window down and partially remove the window guide at the rear of the window where the b-pillar trim is and theres 3 screws that hold it in place..

Easier than I expected. I may put together my first DIY. The note from 1clean335i was critical in getting this done.
