Going agressive...will it work?!
Hey guys just got some vortex tuning forza wheels. 8.5 35 et and 9.5 32 et. Tire rack had a close out deal on. Eagle f1\'s in certain sizes so bought 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 on the rear. You guys think it\'ll fit? I\'m lowered on blistien pss10\'s. Thanks for the help guys, trying to get an idea before I have them mounted

Yeah that's normal offset. Even though your tires will be pretty wide, there should be no rubbing. Since you are a E92, it'll look more aggressive than it would on a E90, but you'll still be okay. I'm going with a 9.5 +22 in the rear here soon for my winter setup, but I'm going with a 255 tire to avoid rubbing. You should not have a problem at your offset though.

Getting the tire put on right now. Front looking like it'll rub. Can't tell on back. Maybe raise the car some? Would like to avoid just getting new tires. But everyone here is looking at me like I'm crazy

Yeah and was getting a bad wobble above 60. Took it back to my usual tire shop and rebalanced and put pressure to 38/40. Wheels were pretty out of balance

Well wobble is still there, be it better than before. Could first shop have thrown off alignment? Kinda getting scared the eagle f1's in the front are bad

Possibilities:
They bent a rim removing the old tires One or more tires are out-of-round (OR) Both of these can be detected by spinning the tire and watching it spin. The final, and hardest to detect, is the force imbalance. The tires are round, spin true, and are 'In-balance" but still cause a vibration. This is because the sidewall thickness, or stiffness, varies around the tire. I recently experienced it and, contrary to claims, it does not go away with mileage. You can increase tire pressures and minimize it somewhat, but it is always still there. The only way to test this is on a "force balancer", and many shops do not have these. |
