Extending warranty PAST CPO's 100k miles??
Curious if anybody has heard of BMW or aftermarket company offering a warranty beyond the 100k mark.
Maybe BMW would sell an extension?? I'm doubtful, as it's probably similar to trying to get a cancerous 85 yr old medical insurance.... but ya never know. I'd really like to keep my 335i, but it's a very scary thought to keep it out of warranty. Thanks!

There are aftermarket companies, and they can always go bankrupt or have corrupt claims practices. A good resource is to find several large, reputable credit unions and find out what warranty company they push. I had one with Mercury Insurance. It was $2,100 for an 2002 Audi A4 to 100K miles and they ended up paying about $9K in claims. They will usually not pay what the stealership claims of hours needed to complete the job, but my personal mechanic always called them to find out if they covered the repair and he did the work in the hours they would allow. I prob paid $400 overall for parts not covered and $35 deductible per major breakdown.
