PRE LCI to LCI

The newer E90s dont have a grill fin on the lower center grill, and for some reason i think it looks more aggressive is there anyway you can remove the whole grill and replace it just with a LCI grill that doesnt have the fin, would it fit on a pre lci. thanks in advance

I hate that little chrome nostril bit on top of the kidney grills. The ruination of the 3 Series until the LCI came along! Wouldn't you need to replace to bonnet (or hood if you're American) to LCI too?

you have to replace the hood also... the LCI one has notches in it to account for the complete rounded grills vs the 4 piece ones from the Pre-LCI.

LCI Grill definitely won't fit, the bumpers are differently shaped.

I don't think there is an easy solution. Your best bet is to find some similar patterned black plastic 'fence' material at home depot, cut and fit to the inner side of the bumper. But then your center grill won't match the outer ones.

If your finisher rods are silver, just replace them with the black ones.

the only thing from the LCI that you can retrofit on a pre-lci e90 straight up are the headlights. The bonnet, grills, and front bumper have to be paired all together and the tail lights require a different trunk lid.

Garage List
Here is a conversion to lci msport. OBTW, it was a 3x COTM winner:

You can pick and choose what to upgrade. no need for full upgrade.

Planning to upgrade only hood/bonnet and bumper to msport, myself.

This is wrong.

You can replace the bumper alone, you'll just have to use the inner pieces of LCI kidney grilles or trim the top part of the chrome pieces in line with the bumper for the pre-lci hood to close over them.

I was talking about the lower part Of the front bumper between the fog lights you know the silver fin that goes across I want it off but there is clamps on it if I take it off and looks ugly with them sticking out, so I was wondering if I can replace it wIth a lci one that doesn't have the fin going across
