Emden Location

Hi there. You probably know that NYKLine ships don't report to sailwx.info, so your only hope is AISLive. It looks like your ship just went out of range of AISLive receivers, but here is the last reported position, along with the arrival date/time in Charleston on June 1...

That's a strange track! Is K-Line the same as NYKLine? If so, this is the first I have ever heard of a NYKLine ship reporting to sailwx.info!

I got this link from my CA along with the Vehicle Inquiry Status paper. Shipping info does say K-Line and coming into S Carolina (port charleston???).
I was told that whenever the ship gets a weather report, it's location is tagged...

Booboo, I see that you too are from Austin. I've got a TiAg 335i sedan on the Endem. Austin BMW expects the car to be available between the 10th and 15th. Did your CA give you an anticipated delivery date?

Same story here... expecting 10th - 15th delivery date... Considering I ordered it on 5\4, I'm more than impressed and shocked at the speed at the production and delivery so far... Getting a 328i Sedan pretty much fully loaded... So far Austin BMW really does rocks, I heard they're in the top 3rd in sales in Texas (or was that USA???).

So I spend my time cleaning up the old car for sale (trying the zano products to get it clean after ten years of faithfull service), reading and writing on e90post to keep my mind occupied on getting my first sports car...

My Lengthy story
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62221

And of cource planning the basic mods that I refuse to order until the car is in hand. I'm sure I'll see you in the dealership... If your SA is C.M., then we share that in common two...

A few othre questions for you.. (if you don't mind)
I assume you're get the tire and wheel warrantly - that looks prettty decent.
Are you planning on getting any of the other extended maintenance or bumper to bumper warranty?

I ordered in mid-April so my wait has been a bit longer. Went with the 6MT, Sport, Premium and the Sun Shade option. I looked at many color combos and finally decided on the tried and true TiAg/Black Leather and Aluminum. CM sold me the car. He let me take a 335i with Sport Package and AT to the house to make sure that the front lip doesn't drag on my driveway. I put nearly 80 miles on the car. It took less than 20 minutes to close the deal after this trip.

I would take a very close look at the value of the add-on warranty products. I have a friend who sells these packaged programs to finance managers and owners of dealerships. The dealerships make very good money on these products. The wheel and tire warranty might be a good idea given some of the dubious feedback on the run flats. I'll take a look at this next week.

I'm keeping my old ride for trips to the airport and the like. Now that I've finally pulled the trigger, the wait is just killing me!

CM rocks... He let me do the necessary test drives I wanted on the different models with different options...
I agree with your warranty assesment. The Tire and Wheel is probably good to have especially with the run flats... I picked up the paperwork on it and it does look good. I'll be getting it. Here's a link on a thread on the warranty info...
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61990
The extended maintenance probably isn't worth it unless you're driving 15000 miles a year...also with the included service levels being raised (example - oil every 15000 miles), it seems costly... It is still available to purchase in the first 4 years, so it's just something I'll keep an eye on...
I like the idea of keeping the old car for those trips to the airport, or bad storms we sometimes get...

As for your color choice - I like that a lot. Lighter color easier to keep sparkling clean... Just gotta get it tinted so the seats don't burn in the texas heat...

Just over 2 weeks to go (hopefully)... Now the wait is starting to hurt...

I feel your pain. I’m traveling most of that time so maybe I’ll be distracted a bit. I’ve got my calendar wide open from the 10th through the 14th. If the car arrives late, life gets complicated.

I’m attending the F1 race in Indy the weekend of the 16th and 17th. There’s very little on this earth that’ll get your blood to boiling like an F1 car at full song. The current engine formula is a 2.4 liter V-8. They rev to 19,000 RPMs and are making about 750 horsepower. That’s more than 300 HP/liter…naturally aspirated of course. The BMW team is pretty good, but has no real hope of winning races this year. McLaren-Mercedes and Ferrari are the class of the field.

Come on Emden, pick up some speed!

LOL.. I pushed back a trip to NY in order to get the car as soon as its ready... I'll pick up your car if you want me to , but I would advise against that idea...
That F1 race sounds like it'll be a blast... Watched them on TV, but never in person, so I can't say I've truely ever experienced it the way it's supposed to be...
Do you find yourself driving faster after watching a race?

Looks like the Edmon has crossed the 1/2 way mark...

Spectacular...it looks to be a day ahead of schedule. It will be interestin to see who's car makes it to Austin first. I've read numerous threads where the 335i takes longer to get through the vehicle prep process because of the fix of "some problems". It is speculated that this is related to the HPFP.

Now time to find some good finance rates in Texas (non lease)... (quick check shows 5.89% is easy to get...)

Booboo, any update from CM on when your car might be available? I've been traveling the past two weeks and have not been able to get a more definitive ETA out of him. Let me know...

I stopped by yesterday - still no change in ETA... I did however track down a decent finance rate of 5.84% - no fee, no prepayment penalties, up to 60 month...
