Mods for new car...
Please dont flame me for asking, Ive done a bit of research and it does take rather a long time to troll through posts and I cant find the definitive so i'll be asking a question thats maybe been asked a few times before, please dont grill me lol...
Anyway, Im picking up the new 330d m sport on Sat (06 model). Dont want to go too mental on it but have a small list of mods I wnt to do.... 1 - angel eye upgrade. 2 - DPF delete and map 3 - rear blackline lights 4 - Poss (later on this year) 19" CSL or similar reps 5 - Eibach springs dpf, blacklines and wheels are sorted no probs. BUT can I get a deff on the angel eyes. I wont be doing them myself as I'd probs cause a large fire. Looking to get a nice angel eye effect. I think I read that LCI cars halogen lights go straight on? So what is the best way? I also seen aftermarket lights but some have misted up etc. Ive heard of the 'Depo' lights, I take it these are good but expensive? Basically looking at the most effective way at getting the conversion done. Any info appreciated. Thanks for your patience ROLL ON SATURDAY |

I think there are options on eBay that make the halo rings brighter on lci lights, this is what I was thinking, maybe try and source a set of lci halogens and just upgrade the ring lights? Or just go with depo lights. I haven't a clue what would be the best solution?

1 - Does your car have Xenons? If so MTEC LED upgrade. Have these on mine and the difference is staggering. The Xenon matches the colour temperature produce with the MTEC LED. If you don't then you'll need to keep an eye out for Xenon headlamps, expect to pay around £350+ and you'll need to have the loom modified and iirc the ECU programmed. 2 - DPF looking around £400 for the pipe, you might be able to get a deal from the tuner for both DPF and map. I'd expect a decent increase in power and notebly MPG 3 - German eBay. Cheaper than everyone!! even forum dealers 4 - Get a good quality rep, again try eBay the VMR VB3s are the best looking rep if you ask me. 5 - Also looking at the H&R Springs, though if you keeping the car long term you might want to think seriously about uprated the shocks aswell |

I would not bother with DEPOs. By all accounts you sacrifice lighting output for looks, which is not acceptable IMO.
If LCI light provide the angel eyes that would seem to be the way to go. Upgrading to Xenons is prohibitive on cost. |
