Looking at new 328 coupe

Went to the local BMW dealer today to look at a new 328 coupe. Car has:
Automatic Tran.
Metalic Paint
Premium Package
Heated Seats
MSRP - $41,975

Dealer quoted me $600/mo. with zero down. I was just wondering if this sounded like a good deal or not. I'm curious to see what others are paying.

You need to be more specific. Are you buying or leasing?

You need to go by what you're actually paying for the car, not what they're making your payments look like...

For leasing, you need to consider how many months, mileage allowance, are taxes included, money factor, residual value, etc... Also need to figure out how much you're actually paying for the car. A couple grand over invoice is pretty decent.

Sorry-looking to lease. 10k miles/yr for 36 months. Taxes included in the 600/mo. As far as what I'm paying, it will be MSRP. I'm not paying a premium for an entry level bmw no matter how well they're selling.

doesn't sound like anything special... what is the MSRP, agreed upon purchase price? cap cost reduction? MF? lease rate?

family member of mine just picked up him 328 coupe. step, metalic, sport, prem, sat, heated seats. no money down taxes up front 10k per 30 month for $500.

Why pay MSRP? I ordered mine for $2K below MSRP. If you're motivated because he has the car on the lot, you are at a disadvantage.

That's a great deal. My MSRP was around 37. I paid 0 down, 10K/30mo and pay around $480 -- for a sedan

Two reasons (neither of which I'm thrilled about). First, dealer says the cars are so hot he doesn't need to discount them. Second, he says if I don't take the one he has on the lot I have to wait until mid-late August for another car. I'm not happy about the situation at all. I don't think it's a good deal, but I wanted to ask what everyone else thought. If anyone else leases one PLEASE let me know what you're paying. I would love to go back to the dealer and tell him to match what someone else is paying or shove it!

Wow, that's a terrific deal. MSRP is the MF price(price on the window sticker). Apparently, that's the best price he's willing to sell the car for.

I put $5k down on a 36month lease with 36k miles, fully loaded 335i minus the navigation and sports package. Payment is $495/month with everything (taxes) included. Sticker price was $44k.

Spend the extra couple grand and get the 335i

You have to strike your best deal depending how badly you want the car. Some will pay more than you, some will pay less. I always negotiate from invoice up, not MSRP down.

If you like the car, the color and the options that the dealer has on the lot, don't tip your hand or you will definitely wind up paying more than you should. Be prepared to walk away from any deal that you are not comfortable with. No need to be disrespectful and tell him to shove it....a simple "no thanks" will get your point across just as well.

I wasn't litterally going to tell him to shove it, rather I was prepared to walk away which would send the same message. I know this may sound incredibly stupid, but how do I know what invoice is on the car. I'm just going by the sticker price on the window and trying to make a deal from there.

Invoice you can find on edmunds.com. What's the MF and residual the dealers giving you? You could get a better deal elsewhere if your willing to wait and order a car. Regardless, there gonna sell the car because there Hot right now.

Where in the midwest are you? My sales guy can easily get you a 328 for 1k over invoice, if not less.

But hes in Chicago. But either way you still will most likely have to order it.
