Bmw Extended Warranty Help
Hey everyone,
If there is a thread already on this, please let me know. Was wondering if anybody can share their experience with purchasing extended warranty as I'm about to hit my 50k really soon. Whats an average cost for the extended warranties BMW offer for the maintenance, bumper to bumer? (mechanical & electrical) or any other warranties they offer. 2011 328 MT. Thanks |

Plenty of info if you search. Remember the maint plans are not warranties. If you have any mechanical skill whatsoever you can do everything yourself very easily. The E90 is the easiest car to maintain that I have ever owned.

If you will need both front and rear brakes (including rotors) during the 2 year maintenance window, the service you receive MAY equal the price of the policy. Otherwise, put the money into a savings account, use as necessary for maintenance, and enjoy a nice vacation trip in your Bimmer with the remainder.

I paid 3350 for the platinum which covers the i-drive and navi. One problem with those and it will probably pay for itself. If I didn't have the i-drive/navi I would probably have either gotten the basic powertrain or as others have suggested, put it in a savings account.
The best deal I found was from a dealership out of state, if you do some googling you will find which dealerships have competitive pricing. The extended warranty is also a good selling point if you aren't keeping your car past 100k. |

And I doubt very much that the clutch is covered under Extended Maintenance, Extended Warranty or CPO. Tom |
