Boost gauge power source ?
I installed a boost gauge yesterday and haven't ran the powder wires yet.I just hooked up the vac for now , but it's hard to see it at night without using the interior lights .i found a power source right behind the shifter ( iPod adpater 12 v) can I use that to run the power and ground ?? The car is a 135 08 and also wondering how to remove the plastic plate right on the bottom of the havac controls ? Thanks .

Uh what is the point if that? Haha... So the gauge is off all day? Only works at night?
I hooked mine up to the cigarette lighter...

Lol it ain't hard to change an ip address. Just putting that out there.
The 12 v behind the cigarette lighter can definitely be a possible power source. Cut it and wire it exactly like the meth kits that pull power from there do. Route the wire under your plastic side trim by the center console and up to the top of the dash and then over to the location of your boost gauge. A nice way to hide the wire would be if you installed the boost gauge in the drivers side dash corner and routed it down on the side and over to where you tapped into the power source of the cigarette lighter. It's much easier than it sounds. |
