08 335i - Hard forward movement on startup
Hi,
Relatively new to the forums, tried researching the subject but i guess I don't know the right terminology for my problem. Right now the car is bone stock and under factory warranty with only 35000 miles. Basically when I turn my car on wether it's cold, warm, whatever, it just nudges or slams forward as if it was in drive with the parking brake on and you let go of the brake suddenly. Sometimes it does it real hard.I took it to the dealer for warranty and the said it was programming. The car didn't do it when I went to pick it up but soon after it started happening again. I'm at a loss with that and any help would be appreciated. Also, I have excessive engine noise which they say is normal and refuse to attempt any sort of repair to try to solve the issue and speculate on the many "normal" things that causes the noises. They say that it's the DI but it sounds way to loud, lot louder and different than my friends' cars. When the car starts up you can hear a fast, very audible and very rough rattle/ticking/cracking noise which then settles to the same noise but slower, sound never goes away and increases frequency with acceleration. Again, any help appreciated! Thanks Last edited by guru_method; 02-13-2012 at 06:54 AM.. |
