A/S tires for use in TX?
I was offered a staggered set of Bridgestone RE970 AS Pole position tires with complete road protection, taxes and installed for $980 at a local dealer. Price at both Tire Rack and Discount Tire with all these options are around $1200.
I'm looking for tires with longevity, BUT I am in Austin and it doesn't really snow here, nor do we get much of a winter. These tires however come with a 40k mile warranty from Bridgestone, and are Z-rated w/400AA UTQG. The price is tempting. Should I pounce on these and give up summer tires? The summer RE760's, although cheaper, aren't in stock locally. Thoughts?
