Well, I got it all done. Yes, I followed every DIY (after reading through every one of them about 50 times to be ready). I was very careful to make sure everything was wired up right. And after I got it all plugged in it didn't work. I read that it can take a couple starts to start working. So I stopped and started the car at least 10 times. Still nothing.

So I took the mirror off again and checked all the wiring again and made sure it was all plugged in tight/etc. Still not working. And I mean NOTHING works...no compass, no amber light...nothing.

AND I ended up cracking my windshield the second time cause it was a little bit of a pain to get the new mirror on. That really sucks. Guess I have to get a new one now.

I looked at the fuses (7, 63) to see if they were ok. In the diagram, it shows the picture of the home/Parking thing so I figured those were the right ones. They both look good. And everything is working...no errors or anything.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? Did I check the right fuses? Did I need to add a fuse?

Post pictures of your retrofitted harness.

It's installed. Trust me, I got the right one. I quadruple-checked all the wiring. I know, this is difficult to help when all this wiring is involved. I just want to know about the fuses? I didn't dis-connect the battery so maybe I blew one?

Bumpping a super old thread, did you ever figure out what happened? I couldn't get mine to work either! And checked/rechecked and did the connections like 5 times.

Yes. I had to flip around the connector in the rear. Thought all of them only went in one way. It was a while ago now so I can't remember exactly...I think there's two connectors up there...can't remember which one for sure it was...but that instantly fixed my problem. Be careful taking the mirror on and off again. I cracked my windshield and had to get a new one....
