My 07 E93 is at 120k km/ 75k miles. So far I have only done oil changes, sparks and brakes.

Since I am getting it out of storage soon, I will be doing the oil change myself, but I was wondering if I should get any other liquids changed - power steering, antifreeze, brakes fluid, transmission oil? I don't have experience to do these, so I plan to do it at the stealership.

Any thoughts?

I would say yes to coolant and power steering fluid, although according to BMW they are lifetime fluids. Transmission fluid is your choice- if you have been gentle with your car and are experiencing no shifting problems, you can probably go till 100K miles to change. Brake fluid should be changed every two years to prevent corrosion of internal brake parts and for the health of ABS.

Got a quote from one stealership:

Power steering fluid change it’s 100.00$+tx
Coolant fluid change it’s 139.99+tx
Brake fluid change it’s 129.95 +tx
Transmission fluid change - around 250 to 300 +tx.

how reasonable is that? It seems a bit steep for the coolant, isn't it something easy to DIY?

those prices are not ridiculous or anything, but perhaps a little on the higher end... but of course owning a "lux" car you have to pay a premium for the Roudel.

However, I would agree the coolant seems a little high, and not really sure about that trans fluid price either.. however I NEVER had any of these done out of my own pocket so I'm not really sure - I am really interested to see what others who have done this at the stealership to post there prices.

I will be getting done some of these things myself and am curious to see other numbers.

...with all that said, I wouldnt have a "huge" problem paying those prices at my local stealer, er, dealer.

You have to pull the FMIC to get to the radiator drain plug on a 335i. That is why the coolant refresh is a bit higher.

coolant flush - $165.00 + taxes
brake fluid flush $80.00 + taxes

Power steering system flush and the transmission fluid flush does not have to be done as per maintanance. They are good for lifetime. We only change them if you having issues with the transmission or the Steering system.

Flush Cooling System - 129.75 + tx
Flush Brake System - 114.95 + tx

Same statement for Power steering system flush and the transmission fluid flush.

Don't understand why there is such a big difference ...

-Front upper and lower control arms
-Rear Track arms
-Tie rods
-sway bar links
-Water pump, and thermostat
-Oil filter housing gasket
-Oil pan gasket
-auto trans- mechatronic sealing sleeve, and pan gasket
-shocks

I was also going to suggest waterpump and thermostat too, before it leaves you stranded.

Also, changing the differential fluid could be added to the list as well.

Not saying you are right or wrong, but where did you get that information?

Such as, there are conflicting reports about the water pump/thermo ... replacing them at 75k would be cool and everything, provided you have that extra $600 or whatever it is laying around to do. Many have gone over 100k without any water pump problems - I know many have had them fail before 100k as well. - wonder what all impacts this? turbo vs. nonturbo? weather? driving style? pure luck? ha.

I know there are standards on part replacements and life expectantcy for certain parts like suspension parts, and other "wear" items. Just curious as to where you got that info, thanks.

75K miles is a bit early to be shotgunning parts - preventative maintenance or otherwise. It appears that an E9X is not an E46 after all.

Yes. It's not a cheap car to own. Definitely much different from the Honda's I came from. Oh, and I forgot LPFP, intake, and exhaust vanos solenoids, and valve cover gaskets+ bolts. Oh, and start saving for new turbos.

you've just been lucky, I guess, but It's extremely hard for me to believe that you haven't replaced these things. Everything I wrote down was broken in my car, when I replaced it. I have all my receipts to prove it. This is not a reliable vehicle by any stretch of the imagination, and I don't know why anyone would be trying to present the company in that light. It's is performance luxury, with an emphasis on performance.
