Found a 335d/Xd Tuner near Toronto
They are called "Engineered Automotive" and are located in Concord, Ontario near Keele/Langstaff just north of the 427. Below is some of the info I've collected through various e-mails with their staff:

![]() Renntech is no doubt a reputable tuning company. Although I don't think they have tuned a lot of NA spec diesels, otherwise I am sure we would have heard on the boards, not to mention if I am not mistaken Renntech just came out with this tune for our cars back in the 4th qtr 2011, so I am not sure how they coudl have tuned 5 other diesel over the "years," but maybe my dates are wrong or perhaps they introduced the tune earlier in Canada first? Call Renntech and verify. I know of one owner that is running the Renntech tune, he's on b-i-m-m-e-r-b-o-o-s-t (screen with puerto rico in it I think?) and Bimmerfest (Axel). He loves his tune so far. He did have a couple of issues on the dyno whererby his car went into limp mode, but he seems to be of the belief that it was unrelated to the tune. Not sure if he's had any recurrances on the street or not. I think Axel saw something like a 60hp gain (no torque figures though) with peak hp around 300hp. You can find his post and dyno on Bimmerfest. If you really want to know what kind of gains you are getting get that before and after dyno done at another shop, i.e. one that is not selling you the tune. Otherwise if it doesn't really matter to you, just enjoy the new found hp/torque! |

![]() At the end of the day I think all of these tunes, Renntech, Evolve, Dinan, JBD (i use tune losely with the last one), and the like are all going to produce very similar results. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. I hope eventually one or two start to push the envelop a little more e.g provide customers the ability to dial in more turbo boost, because I think these engines and turbos are capable of so much more. However, I think we need someone to first come out with a FMIC to address the issues of heat soak that already plagues our cars when running tunes. |

Not yet. There are a couple of people that plan to test fit an aftermarket N54/55 fmic to a d, but until that happens, it's still a mystery.
