OK guys here is yet another thread on the CAI (well maybe not CAI so I'll just say intake)....but in that this is more or less a group buy I figured it warranted a new thread....thanks to all the great information on the topic of CAI's (and member: neovb's willingness to spend the time and money to help At Speed Develop the kit) I contacted At Speed Motorsports to see if they were ready to start fabing and selling some complete kits....and the answer was yes....as long as we have a minimum of 5 buyers.
Here is a link to neovb's orginal post on the subject with pics of the kit: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=579511 Here are AT Speeds (http://atspeedmotorsports.com/) terms: *price will be $399 - $450 (they will know exact once they have made 1 or 2) + shipping *kits will be complete with all clamps, filter, brackets, shield etc... *50% deposit up front And that's really about it....I am not affiliated with AT Speed in any way...so if you have questions please contact them directly and ask for Bob Path forward: Talk to Bob and if you like what you hear...post here that you are a buyer. Maybe also tell Bob to take down your name, once we have 5 buyers identified we can each individually make payment to Bob for the deposit and we are off to the races Again at this point you know as much as I do....so I'm not going to be able to answer any additional questions. Thanks everyone and let's see if we can get this going! Last edited by chenry; 04-04-2012 at 04:27 PM.. |

Only thing I'd be worried about is finding someone here that I could trust in terms of installing it on my car.
I'm in Toronto. |

Ugh...given that you can get the filter for ~$35, you're paying for R&D and the heat shield? I dunno...already swapped out mine, and I can make my own. Gonna pass.

This is NOT a cold air intake. Its a cone filter with a heat shield. The only real benefit is more turbo spool sound upon acceleration. I think the stock air box will actually do a better job at insulating the intake air. It does look cool as shit though.
As soon as a shop can develop a true CAI like the Mr 5 intake I will be all over it. Last edited by cssnms; 04-04-2012 at 11:22 PM.. |

$400+ for a $40 filter and a little heat shield?! lol no thanks. Remember guys, I took off my air box on the dyno with no filter and had NO gains. This is purely for sound.
